About Us
The proprietors are a husband and wife team who has been in business for 17 years. They started in retailing and trading of imported garments and accessories. Later, they began producing these garments but surpassing the quality of the common imported ones. This business venture grew to five branches until they closed it in 1999.
In December of 2000, GIGA ventures tested the market for natural soaps by buying in bulk, repackaging and marketing them as corporate gifts. The very encouraging results paved the entry into the manufacture of these soaps the following year. After spending months on product research and development, GIGA was able to introduce its soap through weekend bazaars. Soon after the products found its way into several department stores, specialty stores, pharmacies and a few lifestyle stores. They later increased their product line offerings to include aromatherapy, natural remedies, spa, pet care and baby care products.
In early 2005, GIGA Ventures entered into a distribution agreement with a ditribution company to market its soap products in Metro Manila. This made it possible for GIGA soap products to be available on the shelves and selling floors of several well known department stores and groceries.
In October of 2005, the company opened its first brick and mortar store at the Fashion Village of Tiendesitas en Fontera Verde located at Ortigas corner C5 in Pasig City.
Encouraged by the strong performance of its Tiendesitas outlet, the company opened another outlet in Shoppesville at the Greenhills Shopping Center in 2007 and at Vmall also in Greenhills in 2008.
At about the same time, GIGA entered into an agreement with a Hongkong based partner to market its products to other countries in Asia.
In 2007, GIGA was able to make its first export shipment of products to Hongkong. To date, it has already shipped to Korea, Australia, United Kingdom and Hawaii.
The company has also gone into private labelling of their products to private companies and several hotels, spas and resorts in Pampanga, Tagaytay, Manila, Bataan, Boracay and Ilocos Norte. It has also been contracted to do gifts and giveaways of debuts, weddings, corporations and government institutions, specifically the Department of Tourism for their international roadshows.
To date GIGA operates six outlet stores and thru franchised outlets. Some of their products are available in major groceries and department stores in Metro Manila. You can also find them in several natural products and lifestyle stores nationwide (See Partner Stores & Resellers).
As a means of fulfilling its social responsibility, the company provides opportunities for the less privileged and special sectors of our society, e.g., physically handicapped, those undergoing rehabilitation, by jobbing out some its operations to organizations that assist them.
